Today we live in a toxic environment. We are surrounded by toxins. On the market you can find so many foods loaded with toxins. There are many toxins even in the air. So this means that it is almost impossible to avoid them. Even if you are eating healthy, and you exercise regularly, you are still not 100% protected from toxins.
Toxicity is the degree to which a substance can damage an organism. There are two categories of toxins: water-soluble and fat-soluble. By the blood and kidneys, water-soluble toxins are easily flushed out of the body. But to eliminate fat-soluble toxins is not that easy. Fat-soluble toxins include pesticides, food additives, heavy metals, preservatives, plastics, pollutants etc. So to eliminate these fat-soluble toxins, they need to be transformed into water-soluble.
Toxins in our bodies can be prevented in a case of a balanced digestion, stress levels and detoxification pathways. The nutritional and toxic fats are shuffled through the stomach into the small intestine where bile is produced by the liver and gallbladder emulsifies them. In the small intestine there are millions of small villi and lacteals, which are little finger-like ‘’grasses’’ or mucus membranes. They help to absorb nutritional fats and to send the toxic fats to the liver for processing. The body will not remove toxic fats, if that detoxification pathway is damaged. Instead of that, they will be stored.
What surrounds the entire intestinal tract is Gut Associated Lymphatic Tissue (GALT). It works to protect the body from invasion. In fact, here is when lacteals help to absorb and process nutritional and toxic fats. The ¼ inch on the inside of the gut wall must have those villi and lacteals functioning well, and the ¼ inch on the outside must not be congested. The lymphatic system around the gut, will bring all the absorbed fats back to the liver. It will use the good fats to make cholesterol, hormones, cell membranes, brain cells and skin. After that, they will be eliminated. This is the natural process of using good fats and eliminating bad fats. This process can be harmed in several ways.
So if you notice some of the following symptoms, then you have a problem with the lymphatic system:
-Breast swelling and tenderness during the menstrual cycle
-Holding extra weight around your belly
-Skin irritations or itching
-Swollen hands and feet
Diet and stress can be really harmful for the intestinal villi. If they are damaged, the bowels can be damaged too. It can lead to occasional constipation in case of excessive stress. Intestinal villi will be dried out and they will be forced to produce reactive mucus. Now the mucus becomes excessive, and you could have extra belly weight, or you can be bloated or unhealthy. But the stools could be normal. If it becomes more excessive, the stools will become more frequent, looser, and diarrhea-like. This is sign that the villi become congested and bogged down in the excess mucus.
The liver and its bile flow are really important. Parasites, bad bacteria, pesticides, heavy metals, and many more chemicals that can damage our body will be eliminated by the liver. When the liver is full, the bile can turn thick and sludgy, making it hard to break down the fat-soluble toxins, as it will be unable to buffer the stomach acids that start to enter the small intestine. It will lead to production of more congestive, reactive mucus because the acid will irritate the villi. The digestive process will be harmed because it can also block the flow of pancreatic enzymes into the small intestine.
Congestion of the liver
What can lead to degeneration and oxidation are the toxins which are stored in our cells for many years. This can happen when the liver pushes the fat-soluble toxins into the blood stream. These toxins can target all parts of our bodies, which can cause numerous health imbalances and problems.
Eliminate fat to discard toxins
There are many ways to burn fat, but if the nervous system can function without stress, then you will burn fat in a natural way. So you need to do some changes in your lifestyle, to make it easier for your body to burn fat and to help with the detox process.
Inability to absorb good fats and food allergies
If the villi and lymph around the gut are congested it will not absorb the good fats. This is why we are diagnosed with wheat, dairy and soy allergies.
If there is already excessive mucus in the gut, the gluten can stimulate the production of even more reactive mucus. When this happens the gluten is not properly broken down in the stomach and upper small intestine. Although, gluten can be in some cases very useful for the body.
So the conclusion is if you experience occasional constipation or loose stools, you need to see mucus in your stools because it can be a symptom that you have problem with your detoxification and assimilation pathways. To prevent this you will need to avoid certain foods which can be really hard for you, like it is really hard to eliminate wheat and dairy products completely.
If you feel pain in the stomach, after a meal it is a sign that your bile flow is compromised and that you are storing toxic fats. You need to be ready to change your lifestyle in order to help your body system to fight with these harmful substances.
There are many natural foods that can be of a really good use in cleansing your liver and restoring its normal function. Those are: carrots, apples, garlic, grapefruit, turmeric, lemons, cabbage, limes, green tea, avocados, olive oils, green leafy vegetables etc.

1 big grapefruit, or 3 lemons
4 tablespoons of Epsom Salts
½ cup of virgin olive oil
Apple juice or malic acid supplements
4-5 days before starting with this treatment, you need to eat as many apples, or drink as much apple juice as you can. To ensure the success of the cleansing procedure, in the last 2 days drink 8 oz of apple juice every 2-3 hours.
On the first day of the procedure eat a breakfast with no fat.
1. On the same day, at 2:00 PM, mix 4 tablespoons of Epsom salts in 3 cups of water. Pour the mixture in a jar, and store the jar in the fridge to cool. Do not eat or drink anything after 2 PM.
2. At 6:00 PM, drink ¾ cup of the mixture. Add 1/8 tablespoons of powdered Vitamin C to improve the flavor, because its taste can be unpleasant for you.
3. Drink another ¾ cup of this mixture at 8:00 PM. Try to finish all your activities, because you shouldn’t do anything after a liver cleanse, you just need to rest and to sleep.
4. At 9:45 PM, in a jar pour ½ cup of virgin olive oil. The entire grapefruit should be squeezed in the mixture (removing the pulp with a fork, or chopsticks). Close the jar, and shake it well until it is all liquid.
5. At 10:00 PM, drink this mixture. The whole mixture should be consumed in 5 minutes.
After you finish with that, you need to lay down on your right side, with your right knee up towards your chin for 20 minutes. Do not move, just try to sleep. After you wake up in the morning, drink a third dose of your ¾ cup Epsom salts, and you should sleep again after that. Two hours later drink the last dose of the mixture with Epsom salts.
